Captain and Owner

Captain Cameron has spent quite a few days and nights on the waters in and around Glynn County.  After operating the Lady Jane along with other vessels for Credle Adventures and years of service in the Marine Sales Industry, Captain Cameron purchased the Lady Jane and opened Coastal Tide Excursions.  He aspires to make every excursion fun and exciting for everyone on board while providing a unique educational experience.  He looks forward to welcoming you aboard.

 

 

Jeffrey Benson

Naturalist

Jeffrey ​has been a Naturalist on the Georgia Coast line for over 20 years.  As a certified Master Naturalist through the University of Georgia, Jeffrey enjoys sharing his passion and appreciation for marine life as well the unique coastal environment found here in Georgia.  Come prepared with your questions, as Jeffrey will be more than happy to answer them.

 

John Tyre

Stryker

Definition:  A stryker uses nets, fishing rods, traps or other equipment to catch and gather fish or other aquatic animals from rivers, lakes or oceans for consumption or other uses.  Strikers haul the game onto the ship.

From the age of 9 aboard his father’s boat, John has spent countless hours shrimping.  Fishing both the East and Gulf coasts of the United States as well as owning and operating his own commercial vessels, John brings years of experience in the commercial industry to the deck of the Lady Jane.

Nic, although the youngest member of the Lady Jane crew, has developed his skills quickly after only a couple of years aboard the Lady Jane. Fostering a passion for the area and ecosystem, Nic is in the process of obtaining his USCG captain license to someday assist Captain Cameron in the vessel’s operation. We look forward to having him with us for many years to come.
